Ask Addoley + Anna is a collaboration between artists Addoley Dzegede and Anna Ihle in advice podcast-format. Available on podcast platforms (2019-2022), Ask Addoley + Anna are setting out to use the personal tone of the podcast format and relationships in a political context. Ask Addoley + Anna questions who has the authority to give advice, and highlights the very practical conditions and dilemmas of art and money. The questions are received online anonymously.
Ask Addoley + Anna Season 2 (2019) was commissioned by Coast Contemporary, where guests at Coast Contemporary served as guest advisors. The Stay at Home – Season (Season 3) was commissioned by the Norwegian National Museum (2020), where Addoley and Anna gave advice both to individuals as well as art institutions. A Different World (Season 4) by Ask Addoley + Anna was part of “A Structure Envisioned for Changing Circumstances” (2021) curated by Maija Rudovska (Blind Carbon Copy), in close partnership with Amy Mackie (PARSE NOLA) and Tina Rigby Hanssen (Vestfold Art Center). For The Friends Season (Season 5), Addoley Dzegede and Anna Ihle was invited to the exhibition “The Real Show” at CAC Bretigny (2022).
